Parental imprisonment has diverse effects to inmates and their families especially to those living with HIV & AIDS; inmates live in worry for their families they left behind and the families live in worry for their loved ones behind bars. They (the families) are also stigmatized in their communities. Through its interventions, Wells of Hope aims at helping inmates and their families cope with imprisonment and HIV & AIDS. Currently the organization is supporting 81 families with loved ones in prison.
