Sam Aloci

BOARD CHAIRMAN & MEMBER ON THE PROGRAMS & DEVELOPMENT SUB-COMMITTEE

Mr. Aloci holds a Master of Science in Agriculture, a Diploma in Public Administration and Management and a certificate in School of Community Leadership (Watoto Church)

Sam Aloci worked as Agricultural Officer, Senior and Principal Agricultural Officer, on major Uganda Prisons Farms. Currently works as Assistant Commissioner, Crop Production and Seed Multiplication at the Headquarters of Uganda Prisons Service.

He joined Wells of Hope in 2008.He was inspired to serve the needy and vulnerable, to preach the word of God, give back knowledge to the community and work with children and people for a better future.

Kenneth Okumu

TREASURER & CHAIRMAN FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION SUB-COMMITTEE

Mr. Okumu is a qualified accountant with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).

He has served in financial accounting roles with World Vision Uganda, Civicon Limited, Faulu Uganda (now Opportunity Bank) and the YEAH Initiative. He is currently working as the Finance and Administration Manager at Send a Cow, Uganda.

He joined Wells of Hope in 2005. He was inspired by Francis and Ellen’s passion for prisoners and their families.

Member of Agape Baptist Church – Ntinda. where he chairs a committee that overseas, the church’s child sponsorship project.

Kenneth is an associate member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Ellen Eva K. Ssuubi

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – SECRETARY AND MEMBER ON THE FOUR SUB-COMMITTEES

Mrs. Ssuubi holds a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University. She has undergone trainings in; Counseling, Child Protection, School Counseling, Secretarial Studies, Christian Counseling and HIV/AIDS Counseling, Neuro Linguistic Program (NLP) and Training in Leadership Development & Organizational Strengthening. She served in Civil Aviation Authority, Saachi & Saachi, Faulu Uganda (now Opportunity Bank) and Faith and Science Ministries. She is currently the Executive Director – Wells of Hope Ministries. She has served at Wells of Hope Ministries since its founding in 2002 in different capacities and now serving as the Executive Director – 2016 – Up To Date. She was inspired by God’s calling on her life to reach out to the needy, seeing children’s lives positively changing and the growth of the organisation.

Erina Mugabi

BOARD MEMBER & CHAIRPERSON OF THE PROGRAMS & DEVELOPMENT SUB-COMMITTEE

Mrs. Mugabi holds a Master of Business Administration majored in Human Resource/Marketing. She holds a Bachelors degree in Education and a Diploma in Management.

She has served in Kompyuta Africa and a Compassion International aided project in Masaka. She is currently working with Nation Media Group.

She joined Wells of Hope in 2012. She was inspired to help vulnerable young people who are the future leaders and as an act of obedience as the Bible commands.

Gloria K. Seruwagi

BOARD MEMBER & CHAIRPERSON – OF THE MONITORING & EVALUATION, RESOURCE MOBILISATION, RESEARCH & LEARNING (MERL) SUB-COMMITTEE

Mrs. Seruwagi’s first degree was in Social Work from Makerere University. She also has MPH and PhD qualifications, both from the UK. She worked with the UK government in the City of Westminster to support improving outcomes for children, young people and families. In Uganda she worked with State House under a Presidential Initiative on national health sector monitoring and system strengthening. She currently works at Makerere University and is Director at the

 

Dr Gloria is very committed to improving the wellbeing of disadvantaged, vulnerable and/or marginalized (DVM) populations. Her work revolves mostly around multidisciplinary interventions contributing to healthy people, stronger families and thriving communities. She joined Wells of Hope as a board member in 2020.

Dr. Gloria was a member of All Saints Cathedral Nakasero where she also sang in the Anglican Flames choir. After getting married she joined Watoto where her husband was actively involved in ministry.

 

Dr Gloria is a member of different professional bodies in Uganda and abroad including: The United Kingdom Public Health Register (UKPHR), National Association of Social Workers of Uganda (NASWU), Uganda Society of Health Scientists (USHS), Uganda Public Health Specialists Association (UPHSA) and Uganda National Association of Community Health Workers (UNACOH).
