FACE – Family And Community Engagement

When the breadwinner is imprisoned, his or her family is left helpless. In some cases, the children of the relatives (especially children) have also ended up in prison as a result. Through FACE, the caregivers of the children with incarcerated parents (who are mainly grandmothers and mothers of the children) are empowered with skills (vocational skills and business skills) so that they can better their livelihoods.

Some of the skills the caregivers are trained in include:

  1. Tailoring
  2. Crafts
  3. Farming  (poultry, mushroom growing, piggery, coffee growing, etc)
  4. Liquid soap making, among others
