Continued Education For Children With Parents In Prison

COVID-19 has come with unprecedented effects with the Education sector being one of the most affected. Children with parents in prison have been greatly affected because most families cannot afford to buy newspapers, radios or TVs to continue their studies.

On June 18th, we started making video lessons for the Education Support program. Teachers from Wells of Hope Junior School and Wells of Hope High School started recording lessons in addition to the education material they are compiling and delivering to the children who went back home. The videos are for children at Wells of Hope because they have no homes to go back to.

The teaching staff is working tirelessly to help children access continued education; our urgent needs are food, computers, DVD players, stationery (like books, pens, chalk), transport facilitation (for the teachers) to move to the studio to make recordings, among other basic needs; any kind of support given is highly appreciated.
